Antifascistisk fest

– med The Coup, Degos & The Silky Johnsons, Tredjestanden, Zig Zag Zoo og DJ Konkret 

Rapgruppa The Coup (US) er ute på Europaturné, og kommer til Oslo for å spille på antifascistisk fest. Bandet er kjent for sine radikale tekster og sine energiske liveopptredener med fullt band. Etter flere album bak seg er de kjent for høy kvalitet og har blitt lovprist av kritikere

Degos er Oslo-rapperne Chino og Fela, og vant rapvalg 2013 med låta “Brev til kongen”. I 2012 vant Fela rapvalg for årets album, og i 2013 vant Degos rapvalg med låta “Brev til kongen”. Degos tar med seg bandet “The Silky Johnsons” og også med fullt lveband denne kvelden!

Drammensbaserte Zig Zag Zoo spiller fet hip-hop! De skapte mye liv på første antifascistisk fest 22. april, og vi ser fram til å ha dem med på scena igjen!

Tredjestanden har backa Nye SOS Rasisme og Aktivisten kafé skikkelig, og har fulgt oss siden åpningsfesten til antinazidemo på Furuset og på Antifascistisk fest 12. april. De gjør alltid en bra jobb og får publikum opp av stolene.

The incendiary new album by the The Coup is called Sorry To Bother You. The record is the latest work by the visionary band fronted by renowned vocalist-writer and activist Boots Riley and accompanied by a cadre of talented and versatile musicians.

The songs on Sorry To Bother You merge danceable beats, punk urgency and the astute social commentary of hip-hop to craft a refreshingly unique sound that draws from the past but never sounds anything but futuristic.

For their latest Riley and company teamed with co-producer Damion Gallegos at Chub Studio in Oakland. The album features guest appearances by Anti-Flag, Das Racist, Killer Mike, Japanther, Jolie Holland, Vernon Reid, and Joe Henry among others. Sorry To Bother You was recently included in Spin Magazine’s recent “25 Fall Albums You Gotta Hear” list, where they described it as “a hip-hop broadside at its core, but also integrates aggro punk guitar and danceable, ’80-influenced beats.”
